Do you love math? Try accounting, economics, or actuarial science out as a major. You could be a math teacher, but if you don’t want to teach, these are different interesting careers that use lots of math, the subject you might love.
Whatever you want to do, shoot for the stars, don’t settle. You want to be happy and success can be a huge part of that. Working hard and getting what you want is very rewarding.
The best thing about college, as far as career searching goes, is that you can try out different areas. You don’t need to know right away what you are going to college for. Use your general education requirements and electives to try things out.
Get involved in school activities, both in high school and college, and take advantage of internships that will give you a taste of what to expect.
While you’re still in high school, you have a chance to explore. Ask people in the fields of work you are interested in about their jobs. Maybe you can even observe them at work.
Whether you’re all set in your career choice, or far from it, use the time you have now to explore your options. Your career is a big part of your life.
