Find a Good Job or Start a Business

Starting with college is a great way to find out what job you will want in the future or if you want to start a business.  Learn about a variety of different topics while also honing on the skills that interest you the most.  Try to stay away from getting a degree in something that doesn’t have a good possible career.  You can always take those classes as electives.

Even with a college degree, it is likely that your first job won’t be the highest paying job out there.  You still have to start at the bottom.  The difference is that you have a lot of potential for making more money in the future.  Even if you don’t make money today, you will make plenty in the years to come.

Starting a business is another great option to make money today as well.  Often in the beginning, things are tight and you won’t make much money, if any at all.  Also, most businesses fail within the first 18 months.  I know this doesn’t sound encouraging, but if you like the idea of working for yourself and having limitless income potential, take the time to work through failure and work hard and you will have a very rewarding career, business, and life.

Make Money Today and Tomorrow

Making money shouldn’t stop with what you need in order to buy what you want now.  You also need to think about the future.  That means putting money into an emergency fund for unexpected emergencies, saving for retirement, and saving for those big things like cars and vacations now.  Make money today and make money tomorrow to ensure the most stable financial life possible.

Stop spending on frivolous things and start saving.  Take your savings and invest it.  You can invest it in a high interest savings account, or you can invest it in stocks, bonds, or other investments.  Some investments are very risky but have a high potential for earning a lot and others have very low risk but don’t make much.  Choose the best based on the amount of risk you’re willing to deal with.

Also, keep investing.  Take the time to learn how to go about it and keep saving more and more and investing it.  This money will grow very quickly.  You could even retire early if you are religious about saving and investing.
