You can sell stuff at yard sales or you can sell it online.  Generally, you will make more money per item by selling it online, but you will get the cash faster by selling at a yard sale.  Yard sales are also better if you have a lot to sell.  It would take you a lot longer to sell a lot of stuff online instead of spending half a day or so with a yard sale.

Sell your Skills

You can also sell your skills.  There are many great ideas you can use.  If you are good with kids, you can babysit.  If you’re good with plants, you can do landscaping.  If you’re a good writer, you can write web content.  Try cleaning houses or cleaning offices.  Take any skills you have and see if anyone is demanding them.  Finding a service that is in demand will make you the most money.

This is also a great idea because it’s not something you have to keep up.  You can use it when you need to.  For example, if you need 30 dollars this weekend, find someone looking for a babysitter.  If you don’t want to keep it up, you don’t have to.  It’s not a job commitment.  Of course, if you treat it like a business and do it regularly, you will make more money.
